Marriott International, a global hospitality company, and Noble Investment Group (Noble), have begun the construction of Marriott's first-ever combination of an AC Hotels by Marriott and Moxy Hotels under one roof.
Moxy Hotels is a millennial brand of Marriott, which debuted in September 2014 with the opening of the Moxy Milan.
The project, which is being built with an investment of $70m in Atlanta, the US, will be a five-story structure.
It is expected to open by mid next year.
Marriott executive vice-president and global chief development officer Tony Capuano said: "Midtown Atlanta is the perfect place to debut this visionary, two-in-one lifestyle hotel, which will become a go-to destination for both business and leisure travelers.
"We're thrilled to be working with our great partners at Noble to launch these exciting brands in dynamic markets throughout North America."
The 133-room AC Hotel Atlanta Midtown will feature suites as well as guestrooms, and Moxy Atlanta Midtown will feature 155 rooms.
Both the hotels will offer shared meeting space with outdoor break-out space, health and fitness and a rooftop swimming pool and bar.
Noble CEO Mit Shah said: "We are proud to continue to expand upon our more than 20-year partnership with Marriott with our development of the first, dual-branded AC Hotel and Moxy Hotel in the world.
"Midtown Atlanta has become one of the best live, work, learn, stay, shop and play communities in the United States and we are excited to bring these iconic new lifestyle brands to our hometown."
The AC Hotel Atlanta Midtown will be Noble's second AC Hotel in Atlanta and the third in its portfolio.
AC Hotel Kansas City Westport first opened in 2015, followed by the AC Hotel Atlanta Buckhead at Phipps Plaza in 2016. The Moxy Atlanta Midtown will be Noble's second, after the opening of Moxy New Orleans in Downtown | French Quarter in 2016.
