Singapore-based Naumi Hospitality has signed an agreement to acquire and assume management of its first international property, Hotel Grand Chancellor Auckland Airport in New Zealand, which will open in the fourth quarter of 2015.

Located in Auckland Airport Precinct, the 193-room Hotel Grand Chancellor Auckland Airport will be operated under the Naumi brand and represents the group’s first foray into New Zealand.

To undergo an extensive renovation, the 2ha property will feature extensive meeting facilities that can accommodate MICE groups for up to 200 persons.

"This acquisition will be a big step forward and a testament to our group’s drive towards the growth of Naumi Hospitality into leading markets."

Room sizes will start from 27m². Along with the rooms, public and F&B spaces will be stripped and retrofitted with a new interior design.

Naumi Hospitality director Gaurang Jhunjhnuwala said: "This is a very exciting project for us. It will allow us to develop the boutique Naumi brand into a full-fledge millennial hospitality brand with different product concepts.

"With two award-winning hotels, Naumi Hotel and Naumi Liora in Singapore, this acquisition will be a big step forward and a testament to our group’s drive towards the growth of Naumi Hospitality into leading markets."
