Marriott, a global hospitality company, is all set to open Omaha Marriott Downtown in July this year at the Capitol District in Omaha, Nebraska, US, which will be managed by Marcus Hotels & Resorts.
The 333-room hotel is reported to be the first full-service hotel to be opened in Omaha after a period of ten years and will have the capacity to accommodate nearly 500,000 guests each year.
Omaha Marriott Downtown general manager Steve Hilton said: “With the addition of more than 1,550 jobs during the construction phase of the project, as well as the 150 new jobs needed for future operations, the Omaha Marriott Downtown will have a significant economic impact on Omaha and the downtown area.
“As we near the official opening of the hotel, we are greatly looking forward to contributing to the vibrancy and success of our city.”
Omaha Marriott Downtown will be a 12-story building that is located adjacent to the CenturyLink Arena and Convention Center and TD Ameritrade Park and will be one of the structures in the $205m Capitol District, which is being developed by the Shamrock Development firm.
The new hotel will be part of Marriott’s new design concept called ‘Redesigned Marriott’, and it will feature floor to ceiling windows in all its guest rooms and 13 suites with custom furnishings and dynamic cityscape views.
