Palace Resorts has announced plans to open a property in Jamaica, the group’s first property outside of Mexico.
Acquired from Sunset Resorts Jamaica, Moon Palace Jamaica Grande is situated on the north coast of Jamaica, at the head of Ocho Rios Bay.
It is set to undergo a $50m enhancement in September 2014, and will feature 730 guestrooms and suites, five swimming pools, waterfalls, plunge pools and swim-up bars.
The renovation will see modernised guest rooms, overhauled meeting spaces, upgrades and redesigns of the common areas, restaurant updates, the addition of a FlowRider Double wave simulator, a Wired Teen Lounge and more.
The resort will also feature an on-property nightclub for adults and a kids club for guests of 12 years of age and under.
Palace Resorts chief development officer Sandor Winkler said: "Launching our first property in Jamaica was a strategic decision.
