
Ritz-Carlton Hotel has signed an agreement with the Manz family in Switzerland to add Hotel de la Paix in Geneva as a partner hotel.
Located on the banks of Lake Geneva in Switzerland, Hotel de la Paix will join Ritz-Carlton in December.
Ritz-Carlton president Herve Humler said: "It is an honour to bring The Ritz-Carlton experience to Switzerland and to partner with the highly regarded Manz family.
"Geneva is an extremely desirable destination for travellers and we will now be able to offer a sensational travel experience to complement the full portfolio of Ritz-Carlton properties around the globe."
Established in 1865, the hotel will re-open as The Ritz Carlton at the end of 2016 after the completion of a renovation planned by the Manz family.
As part of the renovation programme, the number of hotel rooms will be reduced to 75 luxury accommodations that will feature modern suites.
Manz Privacy Hotels Switzerland board of directors chairperson Ljuba Manz-Lurje said: "I am delighted that the hotel De La Paix, the jewel of Geneva, will be managed by The Ritz-Carlton, one the of the world’s most famous and luxurious hotel companies."
Ritz-Carlton recently announced the opening of its first hotel in Mexico City in 2019, marking the firm’s entry into one of the region’s most prominent capital cities.
The 153-room property will operate under a long-term management agreement with Thor Urbana Capital and Heldan Hotels & Resorts.
