Sereno Hotels has opened its new hotel Il Sereno Lago di Como on Lake Como in Italy.

Designed by Italian architect and designer Patricia Urquiola, the newly opened all-suites hotel has 30 oversized suites, all of which offer lake view through their waterfront terraces.

Il Sereno Lago di Como features restaurant, Ristorante Berton Al Lago, which has been led by Andrea Berton and provides a menu inspired by the region.

The hotel, which stretches around 450ft along the lake's eastern shore, also features vertical botanical gardens, designed by botanist Patrick Blanc throughout its campus.

Sereno Hotels owner Luis Contreras said: "This project has been a true labour of love between Sereno Hotels and Patricia Urquiola; and we are excited to introduce an entirely new design concept to Lake Como.

“We know devotees of Sereno Hotels and new guests alike will enjoy the exquisite design coupled with unparalleled attention to detail, amenities and relaxed service our brand is known for."

The group already operates Le Sereno Hotel & Villas in St. Barthélemy and Villa Pliniana, located on Lake Como.

In February this year, Sereno Hotels acquired Villa Pliniana, which features 19 bedrooms, event halls, gardens and Sereno Hotels services.

The property, also designed by Patricia Urquiola, is a 16th century Italian palazzo set on 18 waterfront acres on Lake Como.
