US-based Shaner Hotels has opened its new Courtyard by Marriott Hershey Chocolate Avenue in Pennsylvania.
The 120-room, four-storey hotel is jointly owned by Shaner and real estate investment and private equity firm Chafia Capital Partners through their joint development Bears Creek Hershey Hotel.
Shaner Hotel Holdings will manage the property, which was financed by CNB Bank.
Shaner Hotels president Plato Ghinos said: “We expect to open an additional four hotels in this year and another five projected to open in 2018.
“We are quite upbeat on our outlook for hotel real estate and continue to have an aggressive appetite to build respected brands in markets with high demand generators and barriers to new entry.”
Services and facilities at the hotel include guest laundry, fitness room, indoor pool and full-service business centre.

By GlobalDataThe new Courtyard Refreshing Business lobby at the hotel includes the C-Bar, serving breakfast, coffee and cocktails, flexible seating options and a semi-enclosed lounge area.
Further, guest rooms at the hotel offer free Wi-Fi, bedding and an entertainment package featuring HD channels, and internet TV equipped with Netflix, YouTube, Hulu, Crackle and Pandora.
Located at 515 E. Chocolate Avenue in Hershey, Pennsylvania, the hotel is housed between downtown Hershey, the Hershey Country Club, Hershey Chocolate World, Hersheypark and the Hershey Medical Center.
Other areas of attraction close to the property are Indian Echo Caverns, Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course and ZooAmerica North American Wildlife Park.
Shaner Hotels has been engaged in both new development and redevelopment of more than 80 hotel projects with brand affiliations such as Marriott International, InterContinental Hotels, Choice Hotels and Hilton.
