Starwood’s Sheraton brand has announced it has completed the $15m renovation of Sheraton Bloomington, which has been redesigned.

The renovation project included redesigning 282 guest rooms with a contemporary design, smart-TVs and multifunctional furniture pieces to provide an intuitive room experience.

The Gettys Group handled redesigning work, introducing Sheraton Club lounge and a renovated Sheraton Fitness facility in the property.

"The hotel’s modern enhancements and added amenities create an intuitive experience for guests, enabling them, as a result, to experience more during their stay."

The renovation also included the creation of 17,000ft² of meeting space, a modern restaurant named Lela, and a 30ft bar and ten-screen video display, which is expected an experience similar to provide Starbucks during the day. The space can be converted into a high-design bar in the evening.

The hotel is located on the Bloomington/Edina business corridor, which is close to Minneapolis-St Paul International Airport. The Mall of America and Bloomington’s outdoor trails are also situated close to the hotel.

Sheraton and Westin brand management vice-president Bob Jacobs said: "Following its expansive renovation, Sheraton Bloomington is a great example of the brand’s new direction as we work toward our Sheraton 2020 goal to solidify Sheraton as a leading global hotel brand of choice, everywhere.

"The hotel’s modern enhancements and added amenities create an intuitive experience for guests, enabling them, as a result, to experience more during their stay."

The hotel is owned by WB Hotel Partners and operated by Wischermann Partners.
