Sheraton Hotels & Resorts has signed an agreement with Shenzhen Hazens Real Estate Investment Group to open a new hotel in San Gabriel, ten miles northeast of downtown Los Angeles, US.
Expected to open in early 2018, Sheraton San Gabriel will feature all of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide’s signature amenities, including Sheraton Club and a luxury spa.
Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide North America Development senior vice-president Allison Reid said: "The signing of Sheraton San Gabriel further reinforces our commitment to expanding our largest and most global brand with world-class properties in key gateway markets."
Hazens Group executive project director Sonnet Hui said: "Aligning ourselves with a powerful brand like Sheraton has strengthened our position as one of China’s top real estate companies.
"The Sheraton San Gabriel will allow us to further serve the needs of this key demographic in an important gateway market."
Construction of Sheraton San Gabriel, which will feature 277 rooms and 11 suites, and more than 10,000ft² of meeting space across four banquet rooms, is scheduled to start this month.

Guests will be able to stay connected in the Sheraton Club lounge with complimentary breakfast, all-day refreshments and Wi-Fi.
Sheraton San Gabriel will be located near multiple attractions, including Santa Anita Race Track, the Rose Bowl Stadium, Dodger Stadium, Staples Center, Disneyland and Knott’s Berry Farm.
Sheraton aims to double its growth with a goal of opening more than 150 new Sheraton hotels worldwide by 2020.
