Dubai-based real estate investment company SKAI Holdings has unveiled plans to build an AED1.2bn ($326.9m) four-star hotel in Dubai’s Jumeirah Village Circle district.
Construction of the new property, Suites in the SKAI, will commence in September with operations due to commence in 2017.
SKAI launched the project in June and had already pre-sold all the available hotel rooms and serviced apartments in the 60-storey tower, raising $252.4mn (AED927mn) in the process.
The remaining food and beverage outlets, meeting rooms, a spa and retail units will be retained by SKAI Holdings.
The hotel will comprise 234 hotel rooms, 234 one- and two-bedroom apartments and 33 penthouses.
It will also feature balcony-gardens and 271 sky-high swimming pools.
