Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide has announced plans to expand its W brand with the opening of W Marrakech hotel in Marrakech, Morocco.
Slated to open in 2017, W Marrakech hotel will be located in the city’s Hivernage district in proximity to Menara Gardens and Marrakech Menara Airport.
Designed by GA Design International, the hotel will be owned by Morocco-based Menatlas 14 SA.

Besides signature amenities, W Marrakech will feature 148 guest rooms and suites, including one Extreme WOW Suite (the W brand’s interpretation of the Presidential Suite); a signature restaurant; an all-day dining venue; a destination bar; an outdoor bar and W Living Room (an updated take on the traditional hotel lobby).

Starwood currently has three hotels in Morocco, including Le Méridien N’Fis in Marrakech and Le Royal Mansour Méridien and Sheraton Casablanca Hotel & Towers in Casablanca.
