Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide has expanded its portfolio in the US with the launch of a new hotel under its Four Points brand in Jacksonville, Florida.

The new property, Four Points by Sheraton Jacksonville Beachfront, which is owned by Oceanfront Lodging II, was renovated by the hospitality group with an investment of $2m before the launch.

Located on the white sands of Jacksonville Beach, the hotel is in close proximity to the Mayo Clinic Jacksonville, Naval Station Mayport, Jacksonville Zoo & Gardens, Jacksonville Landing and EverBank Stadium.

Four Points by Sheraton Jacksonville Beachfront comprises 72 oceanfront suites with a private balcony offering a direct view of Jacksonville Beach and the Atlantic Ocean.

The hotel also has an outdoor pool and whirlpool, a 24hr fitness centre, full-service dining and 1,800ft² of meeting space.

Four Points by Sheraton Jacksonville Beachfront sales director Ofelia Bush said that the hotel is expected to become a preferred choice among both business and leisure travellers.
