Starwood Hotels & Resorts has opened its new hotel, Aloft Santa Clara, in Silicon Valley.

The new 175-room hotel is owned by CalTex Hospitality and managed by Lodgic Hospitality.

Starwood Specialty Select Brands senior-vice president Brian McGuinness said: "Aloft Santa Clara is an exciting new addition to the brand’s growing Silicon Valley portfolio and will offer travellers a uniquely tech-forward hotel experience.

Aloft Santa Clara, the sixth Aloft hotel to open in California, is located in close proximity to America Center, Yahoo’s global headquarters and Mineta San Jose International Airport (SJC).

The hotel features an outdoor splash pool, a 24-hour gym and re:fuel at Aloft, which is a one-stop gourmet grab and go food and beverage area.

The facilities also includes 2,800ft² of meeting space, an outdoor deck, and W XYZ bar.

In another development, the company opened it’s eco-wise Element brand in Bozeman, Element Bozeman. The opening of the property represents the first Starwood hotel in the state of Montana.

McGuinness said: "Our eco-wise Element brand is a terrific fit for Bozeman, a thriving hub for business and entertainment and a leading destination for outdoor recreation within the Rocky Mountain region.

"On track to triple its global portfolio in the next three years, Element offers travellers a bright, energising environment, great design and everything they need for smart, sustainable living."

The hotel offers studios and one-bedroom suites that feature flat-screen LED televisions, large desks with open shelving and custom-designed closets.

In addition, rooms will feature fully equipped kitchens and Element signature Heavenly Bed, as well as spa-inspired bathrooms.

The hotel also offers fast and free high-speed internet and a 600ft² meeting room.
