Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide has worked with Red-Co to launch its Le Méridien brand in Batumi, southwest Georgia.
The newly constructed 110-room hotel will display modern architecture and design within the Batumi Tower, a mixed-use development project featuring a casino and unbranded residences.
Guests can enjoy signature amenities from the Paris hotel brand, including Le Méridien Hub, a reinterpretation of the legacy hotel lobby into an experiential space, and a signature Latitude Bar with coffee specialities from partner illy, as well as light snacks and sparkling aperitifs.
Starwood Hotels & Resorts Europe, Africa and Middle East president Michael Wale said: "Le Méridien promises to ‘unlock’ each destination it enters for its guests and this hotel will inspire creative and curious minded travellers to discover the culture, the arts and cuisine of Batumi."
Starwood Hotels & Resorts Europe, Africa and Middle East acquisitions and development senior vice-president Bart Carnahan said: "Le Méridien Batumi will join our Sheraton Batumi and Sheraton Metechi Palace hotels in the republic of Georgia, and will be a great addition to the vibrant city of Batumi."
Guest rooms and suites will offer sweeping Black Sea views and will feature the signature Le Méridien Bed, a spacious work area and functional technology with modern design elements.
The hotel will also have the Explore Spa, swimming pool and fitness centre, as well as curated culinary offerings in two restaurants.
In a separate development, Starwood introduced Tribute Portfolio brand in Asia Pacific with the addition of The Kiroro at the Kiroro Resort in western Hokkaido, Japan.
The Kiroro features 282 guest rooms and suites, and offers visitors on-site recreational facilities, including a gym and swimming pool, various dining options and bar destinations, as well as more than 1,400ft² of function space, a grand ballroom and four meeting rooms.
