Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide has opened a new property, Element Vancouver Metrotown in Canada.

Owned by Bosa Properties, the new 169-room hotel is the second Element hotel to open in Canada and part of Bosa’s new Sovereign building and will be managed by Atlific Hotels.

Starwood Hotels & Resorts specialty select brands senior vice president Brian McGuinness said: "Element Vancouver Metrotown is a terrific addition to our growing portfolio and an ideal choice for this location, given Vancouver’s bold initiative to become the world’s greenest city by 2020."

Situated on the north-east corner of Kingsway and Willingdon Avenue within Metropolis at Metrotown, the property is close to the Vancouver Convention Centre, Rogers Arena, BC Place and provides access to downtown Vancouver through SkyTrain.

"Element Vancouver Metrotown will help meet the rising demand for high-calibre lodging in this fast-growing area."

The new hotel features studio guest rooms and suites with modular furniture, flat-screen televisions, large desks with open shelving and custom-designed closets.

Element Vancouver Metrotown also features a modern fitness centre and an indoor saline swimming pool, as well as including around 6,000ft² of prime meeting space.
