Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide has announced the expansion of its Aloft brand portfolio in the US with the planned opening of a new hotel in Greenville, South Carolina.
The new Aloft Greenville, which is scheduled to open in early 2015, will represent the brand’s second hotel in South Carolina and the third Aloft property developed by McKibbon Hotel Group.
Situated in the neighbourhood of Greenville’s ONE Building, Aloft Greenville will be developed as part of a mixed use property comprising retail shops and office space.
Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Specialty Select Brands senior vice president Brian McGuinness said the company expects Aloft Greenville to emerge as a hotspot for travellers and local professionals looking for a design-led experience and active social scene.
"Aloft continues to see rapid growth fuelled by robust demand from next generation travellers across the globe," McGuinness added.
Aloft Greenville will feature 144 loft-like rooms, 2,800ft² of meeting space and rooftop amenities including a Splash outdoor pool as well as the brand’s signature W XYZ bar.
