Kenya-based TPS Eastern Africa has bought a hotel in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, from Movenpick Hotels and Resorts.
The 230-room Royal Palm Hotel will be renamed the Dar es Salaam Serena Hotel from next month, reports Reuters.
The company operates in Kenya, Zanzibar, Mozambique, Rwanda and Uganda, and has a presence in northern Tanzania.
TPS operates the Serena Hotels chain, which has expanded from four units to a portfolio of 25 hotels, resorts, camps and safari lodges.
