Hospitality brand Vivanta by Taj, part of Taj Hotels Resorts & Palaces, has launched a hotel in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India.

The 180-room Vivanta by Taj – Surya, Coimbatore is the third Vivanta by Taj hotel to open in the state of Tamil Nadu, and the first outside Chennai, Tamil Nadu’s capital city. The launch takes the overall portfolio of Vivanta by Taj – Hotels & Resorts to 22.

The hotel offers conferencing and fully wired meeting facilities, a restaurant and bar, a spa, a 24-hour fitness centre and a swimming pool.

The property comprises rooms including Superior Charm, Deluxe Delight, Premium Indulgence, Deluxe Allure Suites and a Presidential Suite called Nirvana. The ninth-floor Presidential Suite features a dining area, a kitchenette and bathrooms.

Taj Hotels Resorts & Palaces MD & CEO Raymond Bickson said that the launch supports the company’s objective of achieving growth through domestic dominance.
