Westin Hotels & Resorts is making its debut in Jackson, Mississippi with The Westin Jackson hotel set to open in 2017.
The nine storey hotel is owned by Capital Hotel Associates and will be operated by Wischermann Partners.
Westin Hotels & Resorts said the $60m public-private development is positioned to improve travel and tourism in downtown Jackson.
It will be located at the heart of downtown Jackson, and will be close to some of the landmarks of the city, including the Mississippi Museum of Art, Federal Courthouse, Planetarium and Thalia Mara Hall.
The Westin Jackson hotel will feature 205 luxurious rooms and suites, which will feature all necessary amenities, including Westin Heavenly Bed, Heavenly Bath and high-speed internet access.
Guests will also be able to access 12,000ft² of meeting space, WestinWORKOUT fitness studio, indoor pool and a spa with more than 6,000ft² of relaxation space, including an outdoor whirlpool deck and seven treatment rooms.
