Wyndham Hotel Group has entered into a franchise agreement with Global Hotels Management Africa, an affiliate of Global Hotels Management (GHM), to launch its Ramada brand in Kenya.
Under the terms of the deal, Wyndham will open the Ramada Nairobi hotel, which will be owned and managed by Global Hotels Management Africa.
The four-star hotel will be located on Wangapala Road, approximately 19km from the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and situated in the affluent Westlands area of the capital city.
The property will feature 89 guest rooms including 25 suites, two meeting rooms and a rooftop banquet. It will house a wide range of food and beverage outlets, including an all-day dining restaurant and speciality restaurants offering Chinese and Pakistani cuisine.
The property, expected to open at the end of this year, will also feature a spa, fitness room and indoor pool.
Wyndham Hotel Group Europe, Middle East, Africa and Indian Ocean senior vice president and managing director Rui Barros told 4hoteliers.com that the group continually seeks to expand its portfolio of hotel brands in high-demand markets like Kenya, where the oil and gas industries are growing rapidly
