Japan-based Okura Hotels has entered into an agreement with Suzhou Ronghe Real Estate to operate and manage Hotel Okura Suzhou in Suzhou of China’s Jiangsu Province, from 2027.

Suzhou Ronghe Real Estate is owned by Suzhou Harmony Development Group, Marimo Holdings, and Sumitomo Corporation.

Alongside 249 rooms, including 25 suites and standard rooms of 42m², the hotel will feature four food and beverage outlets, offering Japanese and Chinese cuisine among others.

Among the amenities to be provided at the hotel include an executive lounge, fitness centre, indoor swimming pool, and more.

The hotel will also feature a main banquet hall and five meeting rooms, providing spaces for events and VIP gatherings.

Its location will provide access to the Xingtang Street Station of Suzhou Rail Transit.

The hotel will occupy the upper floors of a complex housing offices, residences, and commercial spaces.

The upcoming Hotel Okura Suzhou will be situated in the Suzhou Industrial Park, which serves as a production and operational base for global companies.

This will be the first Hotel Okura-branded property in Jiangsu Province.

Okura Nikko Hotels, another brand of the company, now runs Hotel Nikko Wuxi, Hotel Nikko Suzhou, Hotel Nikko Taizhou, and Hotel Nikko Changshu.

Hotel Nikko Wuxi opened in 2010, Hotel Nikko Suzhou in 2015, Hotel Nikko Taizhou in 2016 and Hotel Nikko Changshu in this year.

Last year, Okura Nikko Hotel Management opened the Hotel JAL City Toyama in Japan, marking its first property in Toyama prefecture.

The new hotel features 252 guest rooms with subtle monotone shades.
