Hotel Okura subsidiary Okura Nikko Hotel Management has announced plans to open the Hotel Nikko Kaohsiung in Taiwan in 2023.
The company has selected Fanlu Construction Industry to manage the new 260-room hotel, with the support of an investment by Daiwa House Industry and Continental Development Corporation.
Hotel Nikko Kaohsiung will offer guest rooms, each with a standard area of about 36m² on 21 floors above ground as well as four underground floors.
The property will feature a range of restaurants, including Japanese cuisine, Chinese cuisine and all-day dining, and a rooftop bar on the 21st floor.
It offers facilities that will cater to the diverse needs of guests staying for both business and leisure.

Hotel Nikko Kaohsiung, which will be the fourth property of Okura Nikko Hotels to open in Taiwan, is part of an undertaking to expand the group’s global portfolio to 100 properties, primarily in Asia, this year.
The company opened Hotel Royal Nikko Taipei in 1984, the Okura Prestige Taipei in 2012 and plans to open the Okura Prestige Taichung in 2022.
Last June, Okura Nikko Hotel Management announced that it will open Hotel JAL City Toyama in Japan in 2022.
