Indian hospitality chain OYO has revealed plans to further expand its portfolio by adding 500 holiday homes in Dubai, UAE, in 2024.

According to a press release posted on Zawya, this addition will cater to digital travellers looking for flexible and comfortable accommodations while working remotely.

OYO’s holiday homes project is in line with the government’s digital nomad programme, targeting foreign travellers who seek to stay in Dubai for an extended period.

In 2021, the government introduced a remote work visa, allowing individuals to reside in the Emirates while working for companies located in other countries.

OYO head UAE Karan Ashok said: “Digital nomads represent a significant segment of modern travellers seeking not just a place to stay but an inspiring, convenient, and productive living environment.

“We are excited to announce our ambitious plans to expand our holiday home offerings in Dubai, ensuring that digital nomads have access to comfortable, well-equipped spaces that cater to their unique lifestyle and work preferences.”

The holiday homes will be situated across the city in areas such as Business Bay, Village Circle, Arjaan, Downtown, Jumeirah and Marina.

The properties will range from premium apartments in the city with Burj Khalifa views to canal-facing properties in the centre of Business Bay and Dubai Marina.

In addition, they will offer fully furnished bedrooms and living areas, kitchens, high-speed internet, large-screen TVs, and parking facilities.

OYO provides new hotels access to its customer base using its app and website.

Currently, the company provides more than 40 integrated products and solutions to its clients, managing around 170,000 hotels, homes and listings across more than 35 countries.

In September 2023, the company recorded an addition of around 2,800 corporate clients.
