India-based hospitality chain Oyo has announced plans to add more than 100 hotels in the US this year.

The current addition is approximately twice the number of hotels launched in the company’s portfolio last year.

As part of the move, the company plans to add new hotels in Oregon, Texas, Oklahoma, Washington, Florida and Georgia.

Texas remains the largest and fastest expanding market for Oyo in the US, with significant clusters of hotels in Oregon, Florida, South and North Carolina and Georgia, the company claims.

Oyo International CEO Gautam Swaroop said: “Our US operations have seen significant growth in 2022. But 2023 may just be the best year for us.

“We are taking measures to add hotels in high RevPar leisure markets such as the Pacific Northwest and will also focus on improving our presence along the East Coast.
