ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions, a security technology provider for the hospitality industry, has installed VingCard Signature radio frequency identification (RFID) door locks at Pennyhill Park Hotel & Spa in the UK.
Located on 120 acres of land, the hotel has installed the lock in all 124 guestrooms and back-of-house spaces, according to an ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions press release posted on HospitalityNet.
VingCard Signature RFID is claimed to be designed to withstand multiple break-in attempts and endure wear and tear, thereby ensuring long-term durability.
This installation provides the hotel with enhanced security measures to prevent unauthorised room access and offers compatibility with industry-standard keycard encryption.
Pennyhill Park Hotel & Spa had problems with its previous door lock system and decided to partner with ASSA ABLOY after witnessing positive outcomes at a sister property.
Pennyhill Park Hotel & Spa managing director Danny Pecorelli said: “Providing guests with an enjoyable and relaxing stay experience means ensuring heightened property security while also creating an environment that is aesthetically pleasing—two things that ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions, with its offerings, excels at.
“The company’s VingCard Signature RFID locks not only accentuate our property’s luxurious appeal but also allow us to meet our commitment of ensuring heightened guest safety using the latest technologies that the industry has to offer.”
The hotel also selected VingCard Signature RFID for its design, which blends with any property’s interior.
It obtained access to several VingCard door handle options, enhancing the hotel’s overall appearance.
VingCard Signature RFID offers the hotel a versatile and adaptable lock solution that can adjust to evolving security requirements and industry trends, claimed ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions.
Additionally, it includes instant mobile access compatibility, enabling hotels to activate digital key services without the expense of replacing door lock hardware.
