Radisson Hotel Group has announced the opening of Radisson Resort Hatgad Saputara in the Indian state of Maharashtra.

Located in the town of Hatgad, near the Gujarat-Maharashtra border, this new property marks the company’s 12th operational hotel in the state.

Radisson Hotel Group South Asia managing director and area senior vice president Nikhil Sharma said: “The opening of Radisson Resort Hatgad Saputara is a significant addition to our existing network of hotels and resorts in Maharashtra, which is a key market for us.

“As we focus on identifying and establishing new destinations and leisure towns in India, we are delighted to introduce Saputara’s first internationally branded hotel.”

Radisson Resort Hatgad Saputara comprises 103 rooms, featuring a range of accommodations from deluxe rooms and executive suites to villas and a presidential suite with a private jacuzzi.

It will offer more than 43,000ft² of banquet spaces and lawns, boardrooms, and conference halls, a dedicated kids’ play area, a gaming zone, a gym, a swimming pool, and a spa.

The new resort is expected to generate 150 direct and indirect job opportunities for the local community.

Radisson Resort Hatgad Saputara general manager Rajiv Srivastava said: “We are excited to welcome guests at Radisson Resort Hatgad Saputara.

“Nestled in the serene surroundings of Hatgad, this new resort reflects our commitment to providing exceptional hospitality and creating memorable experiences for our guests.”

This development follows the recent announcement of the Radisson Blu Hotel opening in Sheffield, UK.

The design of the UK hotel has been a collaborative effort involving HLM Architects, Turner & Townsend, and McLaughlin & Harvey.
