All-inclusive resort owner and operator Playa Hotels & Resorts has announced the completion of a $20m renovation at Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta, a resort within Hyatt Hotels’ Inclusive Collection.

The property has upgraded its guest rooms, introduced new culinary options, and expanded its amenities.

Playa Hotels & Resorts executive vice president and chief investment officer Fernando Mulet said: “Delivering exceptional hospitality requires ongoing innovation, and we are excited to unveil these revitalised spaces at Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta.

“These updates not only enhance the guest experience but also reinforce our commitment to setting new standards in all-inclusive luxury through elevated accommodations and innovative experiences. We can’t wait to welcome guests back to rediscover this stunning resort.”

Situated along Mexico’s Pacific coast, the 244 guest rooms in its North Tower now offer new air-conditioning systems, woodwork, Smart TVs, Nespresso machines, and an ocean-inspired décor.

The enhancements also include upgraded sliding glass doors and balconies, offering guests views of the Pacific Ocean.

The resort’s dining options have also been expanded with the launch of Asian-fusion restaurant Tamari, which features live Teppanyaki cooking.

The KidZ Club, catering to children aged four to 12 years old, has been redesigned to offer a jungle-themed environment complete with activities.

Event spaces at Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta have been improved as well, including a new terrace that boasts the Pacific views, providing a setting for weddings and private events.

Further updates include a refurbished lobby, upgraded pickleball courts, and structural improvements across the resort.

Future developments, expected to be completed by this year, include renovations to the North Tower’s elevators and emergency stairways, in addition to the introduction of Melanzanne, an Italian dining concept with ocean views.

Playa Hotels & Resorts’ portfolio includes 22 resorts, encompassing 8,342 rooms across various brands.

Earlier this year, Hyatt Hotels announced the sale of $1bn in bonds to partially fund its acquisition of Playa Hotels & Resorts, a deal valued at $2.6bn.
