Marriott Bonvoy’s brand Ritz-Carlton has launched a new hotel on the island of Kyushu in Southern Japan.

Named the Ritz-Carlton, Fukuoka, the property is located within the 111m main tower of Fukuoka Daimyo Garden City.

The hotel is situated on the topmost nine stories of the 25-level glass tower, which has been designed by Kume Sekkei of Tokyo.

It offers 167 guestrooms, spanning 50m², on 19th to 23rd levels.

These include 20 suites, beginning at 75m². Among these suites are the 132m² Presidential Suite and the 188m² Ritz-Carlton Suite, which offer a dining room and kitchen for private meals.

A private sanctuary called the Ritz-Carlton Club is located on the 24th floor and topmost level.

The hotel additionally features four restaurants and two bars, including the Lobby Lounge and Bar, Bay – which provides original cocktails along with chargrilled dishes and tapas, as well as Diva – which offers light meals, desserts and afternoon tea.

Furthermore, the property features the Ritz-Carlton Spa, consisting of single and double private rooms for treatments, an indoor swimming pool and a gymnasium with city views.

Other amenities include a chapel on the third storey, a 108m² Ritz-Carlton Studio and a 336m² Ritz-Carlton Ballroom.

The property also provides child-friendly amenities and activities from the brand’s Ritz Kids programme.
