sbe announces debut of House of Originals hotel Temple Detroit

The $72m project is the first hotel to be signed after the debut of House of Originals concepte.

Temple Detroit, which is scheduled to open in June of 2020, will be designed by architecture firm McIntosh Poris Associates alongside Kravitz Design, Lenny Kravitz‘ interior design company based in New York.

It will feature 100 hotel rooms and 70 residential units besides a sbe restaurant and mixology / nightclub venues.

Valade. I am also thrilled to collaborate again with my close friend Lenny Kravitz and his design firm to develop this historical property, bringing our full circle sbe lifestyle experience to Detroit.”

Byzantine Holdings partner Christos Moisides said: “Growing up in Detroit, I spent my youth in the bars and music venues of this colorful city.  Living in LA for over a decade, the soul of Detroit called me back and has aligned me with this creative team, pooling our talents together to develop Temple, a House of Originals Hotel.

“We have a blend of local and international talents including Lenny Kravitz and Kravitz Design, Sam Nazarian and his first-rate lifestyle hotel and hospitality company, sbe, along with local architect McIntosh Poris, Rockford Construction’s national expertise from its Detroit office and financing led by Detroit based Chemical Bank.

“We received tremendous support from Wayne County and the Wayne County Land Bank, City of Detroit and the Detroit Economic Growth Corp, Michigan Economic Development Corporation, Invest Detroit and InSite Capital.”

Temple will provide guests with mixology and culinary experiences, besides DJ’s, live music and entertainment in the subterranean club and exclusive Vault Bar.

Among the other amenities to provided include the rooftop pool and lounge, a luxurious full-service spa, indoor and outdoor event spaces.
