Choice Hotels International‘s lifestyle brand Sleep Inn has unveiled the interior details of its latest prototype, Scenic Dreams.

The brand has collaborated with developers, owners and operators to refresh its prototype, which includes redesigned guestrooms and common areas.

Last April, the prototype’s exterior purple tower and nature-inspired design were revealed at Choice Hotels’ 67th Annual Convention held in Las Vegas, Nevada, US.

Through consumer testing, the prototype was found to increase guests’ likelihood to stay and is claimed to be one of the most cost-effective hotels to build and operate in the midscale segment.

The interior design aims to create the sensation of being outdoors while inside, with signature murals, calming colour schemes, and modern wood accents.

The prototype has been refined through consumer testing and a value engineering process to ensure a unique and optimised customer experience.

It prioritises efficiency with a hotel layout and room designs that minimise wasted space and streamline operational processes.

The design of the hotel and rooms has been planned to reduce material, supply, and labour costs, aligning with sustainability goals.

Sleep Inn has introduced several updates to enhance hotel owner efficiency and guest satisfaction.

These include stylish lobbies, modernised guestrooms, and improved breakfast areas with three zones consisting of a game room, TV room and flexible workspace.

Choice Hotels signature development senior vice-president Jason Cowan said: “Choice Hotels strives to bring an intentional approach to design and development, ensuring that every new concept not only withstands the test of time but also has the potential to deliver noticeable results to our owners’ bottom lines and guest satisfaction scores.

“The next generation of Sleep Inn incorporates inviting, wellness-focused elements that cater to the needs and senses of modern travellers. Coupled with its low cost to build and operate, the new look of Sleep Inn stands out in the midscale space and is the perfect fit for growth-minded owners.”

Among other amenities provided at the Scenic Dreams prototype include fitness centres, complimentary premium access to the BetterSleep app, and outdoor spaces for nature connection.

Sleep Inn also provides a free hot breakfast, special tea blends, and a marketplace for essentials.

The brand has partnered with AllTrails to offer guests curated lists of nearby hiking trails, with more than 90% of Sleep Inn hotels located near national parks.

The Scenic Dreams prototype also integrates sustainable features such as energy-efficient LED lighting, a linen reuse program, low-flow water fixtures, and water refill stations to reduce plastic use.

Select locations will offer electric car charging stations.

This comes just after Choice Hotels announced earlier this month about the expiration of its exchange offer to acquire all of the issued and outstanding shares of Wyndham Hotels & Resorts.
