
Midscale hotel brand Tru by Hilton has announced prototype changes, focusing on guest room flexibility, improved public spaces and amenities.
Launched in 2016, the brand now operates more than 300 hotels worldwide, including recent openings in Chile, Vietnam and Colombia.
The refreshed prototype for Tru by Hilton includes redesigned mobile rolling desks in guest rooms, which also feature enhanced lighting, updated furnishings and a new roller shade system for window treatments.
Tru by Hilton brand leader Andrew Harp said: “Over the past eight years, Tru by Hilton has grown from a bold idea into a beloved brand that resonates with owners and guests around the globe.
“Our journey has been defined by rapid growth, continuous innovation and a commitment to delivering a stay that’s simple, spirited and smart. We’re excited to continue expanding our presence around the world and to welcome even more travellers to experience the Tru difference.”
Guests will find new seating options in the lobby, including high-back chairs, and a redesigned media wall that highlights Tru’s lobby games.

Harp added: “This prototype refresh reflects how we’re listening, both to our guests and our owners.
“Every update is rooted in real-world feedback, from added in-room flexibility to smart, efficient touches that improve operations. As we look to the future, we’re focused on evolving the Tru experience in ways that drive loyalty, deliver value and set the brand up for long-term growth.”
Tru by Hilton recently opened Tru by Hilton Houston Downtown Convention Center in the US, marking a dual-brand property alongside Home2 Suites by Hilton.
Other openings include Tru by Hilton Hanoi Station in Vietnam.
In March 2024, the brand expanded into New York City with the launch of Tru by Hilton Brooklyn.
