Hyatt Hotels, in collaboration with Hong Kong-headquartered Jinmao Group has opened the newly rebranded Jinmao Hotel Lijiang in China.

The Jinmao Hotel Lijiang was rebranded from a Grand Hyatt hotel and is the first hotel for the Unbound Collection by Hyatt in China.

The hotel has 305 rooms and joins the recently opened hotels in the portfolio including Hotel Martinez in Cannes and The Eliza Jane in New Orleans.

In addition, both companies have extended the management agreement for Grand Hyatt Shanghai at Lujiazui financial and business centre in Shanghai, eastern China.

Hyatt Hotels Asia Pacific Group president David Udell said: “The renewed collaboration demonstrates the shared vision of Hyatt and Jinmao in bringing care and new, one-of-a-kind experiences to Chinese guests. It further demonstrates Hyatt’s commitment to innovative collaboration with our owners to positively impact our guests’ experiences.”

The partnership between Hyatt and Jinmao dates back to 1999 when the Grand Hyatt hotel opened in Shanghai at the Jin Mao Tower in Pudong.

The Unbound Collection by Hyatt is an upper-upscale and luxury hotel properties brand which includes boutique properties, resorts and private home accommodations.
