Marriott International’s luxury lifestyle brand W Hotels Worldwide has opened a new property in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, US.
W Philadelphia has 295 guest rooms including 39 suites that feature floor-to-ceiling windows and offer city views. They are equipped with some of the brand’s signature luxury amenities.
The hotel also boasts a 24/7 fitness centre, the brand’s signature AWAY Spa on the seventh floor with five treatment rooms, a lounge, beauty bar and DJ set-up for private events.
W Philadelphia has more than 4,180m2 of event space spread across three floors including 37 meeting rooms and a pre-function space.
W Hotels Worldwide global brand leader Tom Jarrold said: “Philadelphia is the quintessential city for a W hotel – rebellious, unexpected and original. Its diverse neighbourhoods and rich history attract travellers from around the country and the world and we are excited to put our unique stamp on its luxury hotel scene.”
Guests can enjoy food and beverages at venues such as the hotel’s Living Room, which serves coffee from local artisan roaster Rival Bros during the day and cocktails by local mixologist Resa Mueller in the night.
“Stevens’ Prophecy” salon will feature its own specialty menu including small-batch as well as limited-run spirits.
The Wet Deck bar on the seventh floor includes a heated year-round pool and the hotel’s Dolce restaurant offers a menu of fresh regional Italian dishes.
W Philadelphia occupies a 51-story skyscraper and is part of the dual-branded property that also houses the 460-room Element by Westin hotel, which opened in May this year.
W Hotels operates a network of 60 hotels across the globe, with another 34 in the pipeline.
In March this year, the brand’s first Japanese property, W Osaka, opened. It features 337 rooms and suites.
