The Whitewater Hotel and Spa in Backbarrow, near Ulverston, England, has been listed for sale at £3.95m ($5m).

Built in the late 19th century, the structure operated as a mill until 1978. It was then transformed into a hotel and reopened in 1984. It features 38 en-suite guest rooms.

The six-storey property provides access to the Cascades Health and Fitness Club through a second-floor bridge corridor, which boasts of a heated pool with a jacuzzi, a sauna and a steam room. There is also a squash court, a dance studio and a well-equipped gym.

The second floor of the leisure club includes a treatment area with six individual treatment rooms, a manicure and pedicure treatment area, an experience shower, a sauna, a relaxation room, an outdoor spa, a hammam steam room and a hairdresser.

The Whitewater Hotel and Spa has a Dolly Blue bar and a riverside restaurant, along with a lounge bar with two levels and a private dining area.

Furthermore, the hotel’s basement floor houses a fully functional kitchen, a staff room and storage areas.
