India-based real estate and hotel development company Namit & Company has reached a franchise agreement with US-based hotel company Wyndham Hotels & Resorts to develop a new hotel under the Wyndham Garden brand in Agra, India, reported The Economic Times.

To be named Wyndham Garden Agra, the hotel is expected to open in 2025.

It will feature 138 guest rooms and a range of amenities such as a lobby lounge, all-day dining restaurant and bar, spa, and health club.

Other amenities include a rooftop swimming pool, banquet hall, meeting rooms and a business hub.

Namit & Company partner Ravi Bansal was quoted as saying by the publication: “History and architecture make Agra a must-see destination in India. We are working closely with Wyndham to ensure Wyndham Garden Agra will offer our guests the highest hospitality standards and the best experience when visiting Agra.”

Upon operational in 2025, the firm estimates creating more than 150 local jobs.
