Global hospitality group Accor has reached an agreement to add the Creekside Hotel in Dubai, UAE, to its portfolio through a partnership with United Hospitality Management.
Currently owned by Dubai Duty Free and operated by United Hospitality, the property will first operate under a white-label franchise agreement with Accor.
Following a planned renovation, the hotel will become part of the MGallery Collection.
Located in Al Garhoud, the hotel sits adjacent to the Aviation Club, which hosts the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships, and overlooks the Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club.
The property’s location places it close to Dubai International Airport, the Gold Souk, Festival City Mall, and historical sites such as Al Fahidi.
The Creekside Hotel consists of 292 rooms and suites with views of the creek and the city.
The hotel facilities include two outdoor pools, a rooftop deck, a spa offering 14 treatment rooms, sauna, and access to the Aviation Club Fitness Centre with gym, tennis, and paddle courts.
Accor Middle East, Africa and Türkiye Luxury Brands chief development officer Jean-Baptiste Recher said: “We are proud to expand our partnership with United Hospitality Management and Dubai Duty Free through the repositioning of this iconic property.
“This hotel holds deep cultural and sporting significance in Dubai, and we believe this leading Accor hospitality brand with its emphasis on storytelling, character and local charm, is the perfect fit to elevate its legacy.”
Accor’s agreement with United Hospitality and Dubai Duty Free aims to link prominent locations with brands focused on distinct guest experiences.
This development supports United Hospitality’s broader expansion, extending its partnerships with international brands in several regions.
United Hospitality Management Middle East, India and Southeast Asia COO Klaus Assmann said: “The Creekside Hotel holds a special place in Dubai’s history, and we are privileged to be working with Dubai Duty Free and Accor to curate its next chapter. This partnership represents exactly the type of collaboration that defines UHM’s global growth strategy.”
Last month, Accor expanded its activities in Saudi Arabia by signing a master development agreement with BinDawood Investment, acting via its hospitality arm, Al Qimmah.
