The Amman Marriott Hotel in Amman, Jordan, has reopened its doors following a significant renovation programme, marking a new phase in its 44-year presence within the country’s hospitality sector.

The property’s reopening was officially celebrated on 10 June at an event attended by figures from the hospitality industry, business partners, and representatives of The Arab International Hotels Company, which owns the hotel.

Originally launched in 1982, the Amman Marriott Hotel has been extensively refurbished, with upgrades to its guest rooms, suites, public spaces, and dining venues.

The redesign draws on inspiration from Jordan’s cultural history and natural landscapes, pairing contemporary design with artwork and materials sourced from the region.

The hotel now provides 292 upgraded rooms and suites that include updated technology, enhanced amenities, and sustainability-oriented features.

Public areas, including the lobby and reception, have also been modernised to meet Marriott’s global brand standards.

The hotel offers five restaurants and lounges, along with facilities for meetings, weddings, and social events. These include the Summer Garden and additional event spaces supported by modern technology and planning services.

The inclusion of both newly refurbished indoor and outdoor spaces aims to maintain its existing role in the city’s hospitality landscape.

As part of its approach to sustainability, the Amman Marriott Hotel is one of Jordan’s fully solar-powered Marriott properties. It also retains Green Key certification, which highlights efforts toward environmentally conscious hospitality and sustainable operations.

Amman Marriott Hotel forms part of Marriott Bonvoy’s portfolio of more than 30 brands. The renovation project reflects an effort to align the hotel’s offerings with both local heritage and Marriott’s global standards.

Earlier this month, Marriott’s The Luxury Collection opened The London, a Luxury Collection Hotel, in New York City, signalling the brand’s return to Manhattan.
