Banyan Group has expanded its Banyan Tree portfolio in China with the opening of Banyan Tree Mount Emei in the province of Sichuan.

The property is positioned as a “gateway” to the Mount Emei Scenic Area, part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Set in the foothills of Mount Emei, the resort offers 130 rooms and villas across six categories, with every unit featuring a private outdoor hot spring pool.

Accommodation includes Mountain View Rooms, Garden Villas with private garden access, and one- and two-bedroom Lakeside Villas with courtyards beside the water.

It also includes a 320m² Presidential Villa paired with a private garden and a terrace overlooking the forest and stream, intended to offer additional privacy for families and small groups.

On-site facilities include restaurants, a spa, a temperature-controlled swimming pool, a dedicated yoga studio and a fitness centre.

The resort also provides more than 1,200m² of flexible indoor and outdoor event space for meetings, celebrations and private functions.
