Club Quarters enhances check-ins with digital wallet keys across US and UK

This move allows guests to store and use their room keys on personal devices.

Hotel group and management company Club Quarters is transforming hotel check-ins with digital wallet-compatible mobile room keys across all its US and UK properties.

This move allows guests to store and use their room keys on personal devices, as well as provides seamless access to rooms and amenities.

Club Quarters guests previously needed to download the hotel's app to access digital keys, a feature first introduced by the brand in 2017.

The new system now enables guests to bypass this step by downloading their room key directly from their check-in confirmation email and adding it to their digital wallet on any Apple or Android device.

Club Quarters CEO John Paul Nichols said: "We truly believe that soon digital keys will displace key cards, which have been shown to be less secure.

"We use our mobile phones to board planes and enter sports and concert venues. Entering your hotel room with a digital key on your phone will become another extension of that, and Club Quarters is incredibly proud to lead the industry in offering this convenience to all of our customers at all of our hotels."

The digitalised room keys are designed for convenience, activating automatically upon electronic check-in and ready for use immediately when a room is available.

To implement this service, Club Quarters has partnered with Vingcard, a provider of door lock and software solutions tailored for the hospitality industry.

Each hotel is fitted with Vostio Access Management, Vingcard's cloud-based system that generates mobile keys and ensures robust data encryption, guaranteeing compatibility with guest digital wallets.
