The Fairmont Grand Hotel Geneva in Switzerland is set to host an auction of its contents next month.

The hotel, known for its location on Lake Geneva's shores and views, will offer thousands of lots over four days, including furnishings, artwork, and accessories from its guest bedrooms and public areas.

This establishment, offering 412 refined rooms and suites, restaurants, a spa complex, a 1,400-seat theatre and the Java nightclub, has announced the auction of its contents before a significant refurbishment set to commence in Q2 2025.

The event will span four days, presenting items from the hotel's luxurious rooms, restaurants, and specialised facilities to potential buyers.

Key pieces from the Fairmont Grand Hotel Geneva's inventory such as guest room and lobby furniture, including beds, chairs, tables, plush armchairs, desks, mirrors, conference assets, and commercial kitchen equipment will be available for bidding.

It will also include theatre equipment, spa and fitness equipment, office equipment and artwork, outdoor and terrace furniture, laundry and back-of-house gear among others.

The auction aims to promote sustainability by encouraging the recycling and repurposing of the hotel's assets.

The last major update to the hotel was overseen by Living Design Stockholm's Tarek Hegazy, which included a refurbishment of various hotel spaces.

The upcoming transformation of the hotel, led by French architect Jean Nouvel, promises to further enhance the property.

Pro Auction, a company specialising in the hospitality sector, will facilitate the auction at the hotel itself.
