Marcus Hotels & Resorts has revealed plans to relaunch the west wing of the Hilton Milwaukee in the US as The Marc Hotel.
The independent 175-room establishment will cater to convention attendees and travellers in downtown Milwaukee, US. It will provide guests with easy access to the city's convention centre and local attractions.
Last year, Hilton Milwaukee announced plans for an extensive $40m renovation programme.
Marcus Corporation chief executive officer Gregory Marcus said: “Since announcing our extensive renovation plans for the Hilton Milwaukee, we have continued to evaluate the next plan for the west wing of the hotel.
"With The Marc Hotel we achieve two objectives: supporting the city and the ability for the Baird Center to attract larger conventions by maintaining the current levels of hotel room supply, and avoiding the additional investment of renovating the west wing guestrooms while facing the risk of more taxpayer-subsidised rooms being added to this market, as has been proposed."
Further plans include limited alterations to the ground floor common areas, which will establish a new main entrance on North 6th Street.
The expected opening of The Marc Hotel is set for January 2026.
