Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) has unveiled the signing of a new property in Naina Tikker, Himachal Pradesh, marking an expansion of its luxury portfolio in the region.
The 120-key Taj-branded hotel, a brownfield project, will offer views of the Dhauladhar mountain range and cater to both leisure and business travellers.
The upcoming hotel is set to feature an array of amenities, including a variety of dining options such as a speciality restaurant, an all-day dining restaurant, a bar, and a lobby lounge.
Guests will also enjoy a 4,000ft² banquet hall, meeting rooms, and wellness facilities.
IHCL has partnered with automotive component manufacturer Micro Turners Group for this project.
Micro Turners Group spokespeople Sachin Kapoor and Sagarika Kapoor said: “We are excited to partner with IHCL for another project and bring the iconic Taj brand to Naina Tikker. This collaboration will redefine luxury hospitality in the region and unlock the tourism potential of the state.”
Located in Himachal Pradesh's Sirmaur district, Naina Tikker is known for its biodiversity and spiritual heritage.
The region is also a sanctuary for bird enthusiasts, surrounded by grasslands and pine forests.
IHCL real estate and development executive vice-president Suma Venkatesh said: “Naina Tikker represents a unique opportunity for the Taj brand to mark its presence in a relatively unexplored part of Himachal Pradesh.
“With excellent connectivity and a location surrounded by a protected forest, it is poised to become a sought-after destination for leisure, MICE and social celebrations. This addition strengthens IHCL’s presence in the region, enabling a travel circuit across Chandigarh, Chail, Theog, and Dehradun. We are delighted to further strengthen our partnership with Micro Turners Group.”
With this new addition, IHCL's portfolio in Himachal Pradesh will include 13 hotels, with eight currently under development.
Earlier in the year, IHCL broadened its presence in Himachal Pradesh with the signing of a new Gateway hotel in McLeodganj.
