Hospitality group IHG Hotels & Resorts has opened a new Hotel Indigo boutique hotel in Torquay, expanding its luxury and lifestyle portfolio in the UK.
With an aims of serving guests seeking accommodation in Torquay’s coastal area, the hotel is located close to local attractions such as Torquay Museum, Princess Pier, Kents Cavern, and Torre Abbey Sands, as well as nearby transport links.
The new dog-friendly property features 153 rooms and suites designed to reflect the local maritime history and seaside setting.
Guest rooms include amenities such as Nespresso coffee machines, bath robes, and Biology shower products.
Dining facilities at the hotel include Root & Reef Bistro, which focuses on dishes inspired by local fishing and farming traditions.
Plans for a rooftop bar named The Cast are also underway, with an expected opening date in early 2026. The bar will offer panoramic views of the bay.
Hotel Indigo Torquay provides facilities including a wellness suite with treatment rooms and a fitness centre.

Hotel Indigo Torquay is owned by Singapore-based Fragrance Group and is managed by IHG Hotels & Resorts.

Last month, IHG entered a partnership with Ristia Group to introduce Hotel Indigo to Ubud, Bali’s cultural centre, with the opening planned for 2027.
