IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed an agreement with Fullon Hotels & Resorts to open HUALUXE Taipei, bringing the Hualuxe brand to Taiwan for the first time.
Expected to open this year, the planned property will be located in Taipei's historic Dalongdong area.
Hualuxe Taipei will feature 199 guest rooms and is expected to incorporate design features, service styles and social spaces reflecting local traditions and the brand’s focus on hosting, dining, and tea culture.
The announcement follows a previous collaboration between IHG and Fullon Hotels, including work on voco Chiayi.
IHG stated that the introduction of Hualuxe comes as Taiwan’s hospitality sector is experiencing what it describes as a phase of “quality growth.”
This stage is influenced by steady domestic demand, a broader range of international visitors, and changing traveller preferences for more culturally immersive experiences.

Hualuxe is positioned as a brand that blends cultural heritage with modern hospitality.
Launched in 2012, Hualuxe Hotels & Resorts had 27 hotels operating as of the first quarter of 2026, with a further 20 properties in the global development pipeline.

IHG entered Taiwan in 2008 with the opening of Holiday Inn Express Taoyuan and now has 17 hotels operating across eight brands.
