IHG Hotels & Resorts has unveiled plans to open InterContinental Presidente Mexico City Miyana in the second half of 2026.

A statement noted that the hospitality company and Grupo Presidente, which represents the IHG brand in Mexico, is continuing development of the property.

The release added that the 184-room hotel aims to “further strengthen” IHG’s luxury and lifestyle offering in Mexico City.

The hotel is planned for Nuevo Polanco and will be integrated into the Miyana real estate development, a mixed-use district.

IHG said the property is being designed to “naturally integrate” into the area’s residential and commercial components, targeting both business and leisure demand.

InterContinental Presidente Mexico City Miyana will occupy nine floors within a 25-storey mixed-use tower.

In addition to 184 guest rooms, the project will include an Italian speciality restaurant, a lobby bar, a gym and a Club InterContinental Lounge.

Plans also include meeting and event areas such as an auditorium with capacity for 300 people and a terrace designed to host around 250 guests.

IHG is working to increase its presence in Mexico alongside Grupo Presidente, whose current operations in the country include seven InterContinental hotels and eight additional properties across other IHG brands.

Earlier this month, IHG opened the 34-room Kimpton El Castelar in Mexico City’s Polanquito neighbourhood.
