IHG secures four new UK properties through Fairview Hotels partnership

The development adds to IHG’s presence and indicates continued expansion in essential and premium hotel segments.

IHG Hotels & Resorts (IHG) has signed agreements for four properties with Fairview Hotels in the UK, further consolidating its pipeline in the country as part of its IHG UK hotel expansion strategy.

The latest additions include Garner Hotel Lincoln, voco London – Bloomsbury, Garner Hotel Chesterfield North and Garner Hotel Rotherham East, which jointly bring more than 380 rooms to IHG’s regional development portfolio.

This development adds to IHG’s existing presence in its largest European market and indicates continued expansion in both essential and premium hotel segments. It also demonstrates ongoing interest from property owners in IHG’s conversion brands, voco and Garner, which offer alternative options for bringing hotels to market.

Launched in 2018, voco is IHG’s most rapidly expanding premium brand and reached 100 open hotels worldwide in 2025. Voco London – Bloomsbury will join 21 open and five pipeline voco hotels in the UK and Ireland, including voco Letchworth Hall, voco The Club – Dublin Gateway, and voco Rockingham Forest Corby.

Voco London – Bloomsbury stands on Southampton Row near Kimpton Fitzroy London and Holiday Inn London Bloomsbury. The 114-room property features a Victorian façade and will complete rebranding under the voco brand by mid-2026.

Three new Garner properties with Fairview support the midscale brand’s expansion within the region. These additions increase the pipeline of five open and seven pipeline Garner hotels across the UK, including sites in Edinburgh, Nottingham City Centre and London Victoria.

In December 2025, IHG opened a Hotel Indigo boutique hotel in Torquay, expanding its luxury and lifestyle portfolio in the UK.
