Kohler, Wisconsin Resort has revealed details of a major expansion and renovation for The Inn on Woodlake hotel in Kohler, Wisconsin, US.
The project is intended to increase the hotel’s capacity and introduce new entertainment facilities.
It includes the construction of 66 extra guest rooms and the creation of the Bucks & Birdies Entertainment Center, which is set to offer a variety of activities for both guests and local residents.
Once completed, the development will bring the hotel's total number of rooms to 203, including suites with two or four bedrooms.
The three-storey addition will also provide a new hotel entrance, enhanced landscaping with tree plantings, and outdoor features such as a stone-paved promenade and patio beside Wood Lake.
Demolition work has started on some structures at the Shops at Woodlake to make space for the expansion.
The original Inn on Woodlake, which began operations in 1994 and holds a three-diamond rating, will stay open throughout the construction period, the company said.
Project completion is expected in June 2027.
The Bucks & Birdies Entertainment Center will occupy the main level of the new building and will include golf and Formula 1 racing simulators.
The entertainment centre will also comprise of duck pin bowling, a pub-style restaurant, and areas for outdoor recreation such as an expanded putting green and live music performances.
The additional guest rooms will be situated across three floors above the entertainment centre facility.
This initiative adds to recent and ongoing developments across the wider Kohler resort area, which have included updates to local hospitality venues and recreational spaces.
