Lighthouse introduces direct hotel booking through ChatGPT

The new app allows hotels to manage their listings and share real-time rates with ChatGPT users looking to book directly.

Lighthouse has launched The Hotels Network app, a direct booking application for hotels now available within ChatGPT.

The app integrates with ChatGPT to provide travellers with real-time information and direct access to hotel reservations.

The app enables hotels to present their own property information, live rates, and booking links directly to ChatGPT’s global user base.

By integrating with Lighthouse’s Connect AI engine, hotels can supply verified content and up-to-date pricing directly into AI-assisted travel conversations.

The service is accessible to hotels of all sizes worldwide through a flat fee subscription model that does not charge booking commissions.

With more than 800 million users interacting with ChatGPT globally, the channel provides hotels with access to a substantial audience seeking accommodation recommendations.

Until now, online travel agencies such as Booking.com and Expedia have established partnerships as launch partners within ChatGPT, leaving individual hotels without comparable direct access.

For travellers, using the app means that hotel recommendations in ChatGPT are based on official descriptions, property-verified photographs, and live rates provided by the hotels themselves.

This approach replaces summaries generated from third-party listings or scraped online content.

Travellers can follow one-click links from ChatGPT directly to hotel websites to complete reservations.

The app also provides hoteliers with tools to manage their property narrative and respond to specific traveller inquiries within AI platforms.

Through Connect AI technology built on the Model Context Protocol (MCP) standard, properties can display unique features and answer questions based on structured real-time data.

This allows responses in ChatGPT conversations to reflect accurate amenities, guest experience details, and other relevant information beyond price or star ratings.

Lighthouse's direct booking head Juanjo Rodriguez said: “Properties can now control how they're discovered, tell their own story and surface their own rates, all inside the conversations where trip planning starts. This isn't an incremental improvement. It's a new distribution channel.”

The Hotels Network app is currently accessible via the ChatGPT App Directory.

Participation does not require changes to hotel websites or management systems; both independent properties and hotel groups can join.

Lighthouse states that Connect AI will adapt as new conversational platforms emerge, extending visibility for participating hotels as the AI ecosystem develops.
