Lopesan Hotel Group has opened three new properties in the Dominican Republic’s Punta Cana, with a combined investment of more than $350m.

The new resorts, namely Lopesan Caoba Lagoon Resort Spa & Casino, Lopesan Serenity Bay Spa & Casino, and Lopesan Splash Cove Spa & Casino, have begun welcoming guests, adding more than 1,000 rooms to the group’s portfolio in the country.

Lopesan Caoba Lagoon offers 554 rooms and is built around a 127m lagoon-style pool, incorporating cenote-inspired details and ten waterfalls.

The property will also include the new Lopesan Convention Center, which is designed to host more than 2,000 guests for events.

Lopesan Serenity Bay comprises 239 rooms with dining options, pool areas and spaces focused on relaxation and recovery.

The 242-room Lopesan Splash Cove is described as a “water-centric resort”, featuring a wave pool, water park and a range of sports activities.

The three properties share ‘The Boulevard’, an open-air promenade conceived to operate more as a contemporary town centre than a conventional resort facility.

This area includes chef-led restaurants, cocktail bars, nightlife spots, retail outlets, entertainment offerings, an 820-seat theatre and a casino.

Lopesan Caribbean regional director Carlos Jimenez said: "This expansion marks a defining moment for Lopesan Hotel Group in the Caribbean and reflects our continued investment in Punta Cana as one of the region's most important luxury travel destinations.”

According to Lopesan Hotel Group, the project is projected to generate around 700 jobs during the initial launch phase. It will eventually rise to more than 1,100 once the complex is fully operational.

The destination was designed in partnership with HKS Architects and its hospitality division, ROAM.

The combined development extends Lopesan’s presence in Punta Cana to four distinct resorts, adding to the existing Lopesan Costa Bávaro Resort Spa & Casino.
