Mandarin Oriental plans to open new hotel in Jeddah Central

The new hotel will feature five dining venues, meeting spaces, and wellness facilities.

Luxury hotel group Mandarin Oriental has revealed plans to open a new hotel within Jeddah Central development in Saudi Arabia, with operations scheduled to begin in 2030.

The group has partnered with Jeddah Central Development Company and design company KPF for the project.

The hotel stand on a waterfront site within the city’s central district, offering views of the Red Sea and direct access to a recently developed marina.

Mandarin Oriental, Jeddah will offer 140 guest rooms and suites. On-site facilities will include five dining venues distributed across the grounds, including specialised restaurants.

The property is also planned to feature spaces for meetings and events such as a ballroom.

Guests will have access to wellness services with a treatment spa and children’s facilities, including a dedicated kids’ club and crèche.

Along with the hotel, Mandarin Oriental will also launch a collection of branded residences with 115 apartments available to accommodate longer-term stays.

The branded residences section will feature 187 homes with residents granted access to private amenities such as a lounge, library, cinema, swimming pool, games room, and fitness centre.

The hotel design focuses on low-density and low-rise features at the marina location.

“Mandarin Oriental, Jeddah will create a distinctive lifestyle hub inspired by the city's culture and heritage, offering immersive experiences in a refined, contemporary setting.”

Mandarin Oriental notes that Jeddah draws approximately six million visitors each year and serves as an economic and cultural centre for Saudi Arabia.
